Lizzy Greene’s August 2026 Who What Wear editorial, photographed by Raul Romo, takes a familiar preppy combination and disrupts it at the waist. An ivory cropped button-down and pointed white slingbacks suggest polish, but the center of the look belongs to Miu Miu boxer-style shorts deliberately left visible above a brown suede mini skirt.
The layering is more interesting than either bottom piece on its own. The pale, slightly reflective shorts rise clearly above the skirt and introduce an elastic waistband and drawstring where a conventional skirt look would normally have a cleaner transition. Lizzy Greene’s Miu Miu editorial styling therefore depends on showing the underlayer rather than disguising it.
The brown mini changes the texture and weight below. Its warmer, matte-looking surface gives the metallic shorts something substantial to sit against, while the cropped shirt leaves enough space between hem and waistband for all three layers to remain distinct. The shirt itself is comparatively restrained, which keeps the styling from becoming a pileup of competing ideas.
